Labuan F.T. was selected to host the closing ceremony of Federal Territory Day for the year 2010. The celebration took part at Labuan Square where thousands of public members flocked the venue for the main event which held annually.

Among the VIPs present were Minister Datuk Raja Nong Chik Raja Zainal Abidin and Labuan MP Datuk Yussof Mahal.

Visitors were entertained by numbers of Malaysian artist such as Stacy and Vince from Akademi Fantasia, Abu Bakar Ellah and Herman Tino.

The closing ceremony marked with the fireworks show that lasts for almost 5 minutes.

Chap Goh Meh or Tzap Goh Mei (Chinese: 十五暝; pinyin: shí wǔ míng; literally “fifteen night”) represents the fifteenth and final day of the Lunar New Year period as celebrated by Chinese communities. The term is from the Hokkien dialect and refers to the fifteenth day of the first month, which is the occasion of the first full moon of the New Year.

Labuan citizen celebrates Maulidur Rasul today as thousands flock the Labuan Square to participate in the parade held annually to commemorate the birth of Propher Muhammad.

The parade led by Labuan MP, Dato’ Yusuf Mahal and followed by the contingents representing government and corporate bodies, schools, higher education institutions and villages in Labuan F.T.

Sambutan Maulidur Rasul Peringkat Labuan Tahun 2010 berlangsung di Dataran Labuan, Wilayah Persekutuan Labuan pada 26 Februari 2010 bersamaan 12 Rabiul Awal 1431H.

Perarakan disertai jabatan – jabatan kerajaan, badan swasta, institusi pendidikan dan peringkat kampung. Perarakan bermula seawal jam 7 pagi mengikut laluan yang telah ditetapkan dan sambutan pada tahun ini berakhir lebih kurang jam 10 pagi.
